This was great fun! Took me a while to use the camera to help navigate my way, and the code puzzle took me a little moment. I hope to see more from this! The jumpscares got me good too! Here is my gameplay, with my feedback at the end!
Love when games make good use of a flashing mechanic, and this one did not disappoint! Intriguing story, good atmosphere and 2 endings to make sure you're on your toes, I would love for this to be expanded on in the future. Good Work!
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I'll be releasing a continuation of the story with "Don't Leave" which will be a lot different in terms of gameplay - but that'll be after another game I have in store :)
I like the different approach this game took with the camera being your main source of light, and the jump scares were terrifying all around W game fr!
Gave it a Let's Play, played 1.5 but I think there's a bug to fix still (Sry lol) where if you beat the game once and play through perhaps a new game, the cameras flash breaks entirely FYI.
Hiya! In your second playthrough, you selected "yes" to the question about being photosensitive. The camera flash being not as bright and giving errors is what happens when using the photosensitive mode. Still, thanks for playing!
It was a very good horror game, I would definetly recommend this to my friends! I just wish that the game could have gone longer , it has lots of potential! :thumbs up
Crazy fun thrill ride i really enjoyed the camera usage for lighting it was a chilling experience thank you for all the hard work put into this and looking forward to more :D
really enjoyed this game, i loved the uniqueness of using the camera as a survival aspect, and i really enjoyed the knock knock clue, took me so long to figure it out but as soon as i realised i thought that was pretty unique, i also found the visuals really interesting, and im not going to mention the rant about PSX games haha, but all in all great game, i will say i found it difficult to use the flash on the camera as a light, i would of preferred night vision but i would assume that would be mixed opinion, all in all great concept great little game
Very interesting for sure. The game is also interesting lorewise. I just kinda wish we could explore more of the apartment complex and see alittle more of the monster. But beyond that, not bad.
Loved the concept of this! I think a voice actor would go a long way with this game however. I got so invested in the gameplay that I forgot to read some stuff at the bottom, and this is a game where there's words CONSTANTLY popping off at the bottom of the screen. I think it would've made the monster creepier too with some voice acting too! Just my opinion. Still a fun game!
Originally I was going to do voice acting, but there were a few issues. Sometimes, if the voice actors aren't competent, no voice acting is better. They can also be quite expensive for someone making a short indie game.
I also think having just text makes it easier for people recording the game to read it instead of having someone speaking over them every 2 seconds (since, as you said, there is quite a bit of dialogue). Some games can definitely benefit from voice acting, but personally I decided to not include any (apart from the TV) in this project!
Tho, my next project will definitely include it. It's a great tool for building immersion and character!
For being made in only a week this was really good. Scares were good and I liked the part where you're relying on the camera to see, that was pretty cool. Made a video on it.
This was amazing! Thanks for reaching out and letting me know about this because it's one of the better short horror games I have played in a while. You did an amazing job with the scares and the atmosphere! Highly recommend anyone reading this to check it out!
Was it after you took a picture? You do need to take one in order to progress. Once you do, a popup will appear - you press LMB to exit. Hope this helps!

Oooh, so it was entirely intended?
Yeah, by selecting "yes" to the photosensitive setting, it changes the camera to not have a flash feature, but it instead records :)
Thanks a ton for playing! Glad you liked it! :)

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont
Thanks for playing! Yeah, the game is fairly short and the area is small due to time limitations. I'm glad you liked it! :)
